Alexandra Hoesdorff is the co-founder and CEO of deal productions.

 

She brings over twenty years of experience in physical production in the U.S. and Europe and is expert in the intricacies of co-production arrangements and film financing.

 

Alexandra’s recent projects as Producer include “High Fantasy” (TIFF 2017 and selected for Berlinale and Rotterdam 2018) Amazon, and "Flatland" (Panorama Opening Berlinale 2019 and TIFF 2019) both by award winning South African director Jenna Bass, world sales by The Match Factory; the Isabelle Huppert and Pink Martini Festival favourite, "Souvenir", world sales Pathé International; "Sawah" and "Girls with Balls" were released on Netflix and Amazon in 2020.

 

"Lemon and Poppy Seed Cake" by award winning director Benito Zambrano, a co-production with Filmax, has received Best Actress and Best Casting awards at the Mallorca International Film Festival 2021 and North American Premiere at the Miami Film Festival 2022. Currently in post-production: "Poison" by Désirée Nosbusch starring award winners Trine Dyrholm and Tim Roth; in pre-production:  "Bikini Bandits" by award winning director Heidi Greensmith.

 

Alexandra is Vice-President of the Board of ULPA, Luxembourg Producers' Association and is the President to the Board of Feature Films. She has been elected as a member of the ACE producers executive board 2023-2024.

 

She is an alumna of EAVE 2013, Inside Pictures 2017, ACE29 2020, ACE Series 2021 and she was awarded 2019 Creative Media Slate Funding. She is a member of the European Film Academy and the European Producers’ Club.
